- Became Honorary Fellow of the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO)

Induction into Edmonton Hall of Fame with Mayor Stephen Mandel, 2008
- June 2008 – Inducted into the Edmonton Cultural Hall of Fame in the Builder Category. In recognition of that award, the King’s University College published an article summarizing his 28 years of achievement as a Professor at King’s University College.
- 2015 – Received an Honorary Membership from the South African League of Church Organists (SAKOV).
- In 2024 he became an Honorary Fellow of the Summer Institute of Church Music, an event celebrated at the April 27 Pro Coro Concert Sing Into The Silence at All Saints Cathedral, Edmonton. This was accompanied by the performance of a new choral-organ anthem in his honour by Edmonton composer Trent Worthington, Sing and Make Music performed by Pro Coro and the Edmonton Youth Choir with Evelyn Grieger, conductor; Christopher Dawes , Organ.
